元宵是北方的叫法，南方叫汤圆、浮圆子或水圆。我从前没见过产糯米的植物长什么样儿。有一次去安徽，宾馆附近有农田，我下到田里跟老乡打探，这是大米还是糯米？印象中似乎与水稻没啥区别。这让我有点失望。大米不稀奇，但糯米和糯米面我小时候都没见过，元宵更是稀罕物。
